Best of 2025
Made some big changes, started buying music again. Towards the end of the year mostly stopped streaming. Here are my favourites of the year.
How Love Bends - Reb Fountain (Bandcamp)
Somehow this was the album that I always returned to. The title track is killer.Silo Park - Harper Finn (Artist Website)
Nice upbeat pure pop album! Some darker undertones at the end of the album, would love to hear more of that.Dark Sky Reserve - Robin Kester (Bandcamp)
An hour a day is my favourite, and contains bass lines that hack my soul.Vlijmscherp - Eefje de Visser (Bandcamp)
Had to get used to this, but first two tracks are great and poppy. This draws you in.A Danger to Ourselves - Lucrecia Dalt (Bandcamp)
Contains great songs such as the opening track. But as a whole its not as magical as her previous album.Inteira - Nina Maia (Bandcamp)
Discovered it by browsing randomly on last.fm, it is a really great album.Hyperverse - Liam Finn (Bandcamp)
After a lot of years Liam finally actually released the album to a wider audience, first half of the lp is killer. Second is more spotty.Lux - RosalĂa (Artist Website)
This is a very brave and adventurous album. But also fun to listen to.Au - Paloma Morphy
Found out about her on a podcast. Fun new artist from Mexico.I Just Need to Conquer This Mountain - Sarah Blasko (Bandcamp)
This album became so much better after seeing her live. When in the mood, this might be the best album of the year. But I’m not always in that mood.A Mirror Sometimes - Tessa Rose Jackson (Bandcamp)
Calm collaboration, I would have loved a vinyl of this so that the songs can grow more.La Primera Luz - Camila Moreno (Artist Website)
Son of Spergy - Daniel Caesar (Artist Website)
Still Processing:
Benjamin Biolay - Le Dique Bleu
