Best of 2022

Last day of the year 🎆 🧨🎉

Like almost every year, 2022 was a great year in music. I love to make lists of the albums I enjoyed most.

So here are my favourite albums of this year:

  1. Godspeed to the freaks - Klangstof (Apple music, Vinyl) Amazing album, that gained so much depth by hearing it on vinyl.
  2. Shades and Echoes - Forenzics (Apple music) Forenzics has a ridicilous concept: it reuses old elements of Split Enz songs for new songs. But it works! One of the three albums Tim Finn released in 2022.
  3. ¡Ay! - Lucretia Dalt (Apple music, Bandcamp) Beautiful album with a concept I don’t understand. But the music is so good.
  4. Tarbes - La Féline (Apple musicBandcamp)
  5. The Dream - alt J (Apple music, band shop) Each of alt J’s albums has some excellent songs and some that I find pretty boring. This album is more balanced.
  6. Earth worship - Rubblebucket (Apple musicBandcamp) Upbeat and funky
  7. Into the blue - Broken bells (Apple music,Band website)
  8. You belong here - Daniel Rossen (Apple music, Bandcamp)
  9. My diary lied - Kaminsky (Apple music) An album of a friend. It is fanastic to see that he managed to pull this off on his own. Sparklehorse vibes.
  10. Saint-Clair - Benjamin Biolay (Apple music) Big fan of Benjamin, not his best album. But a couple of gems on this one.
